Overview

The weBoost Drive Reach Overland is a powerful in-vehicle signal booster designed specifically for overlanders, off-roaders, and anyone who needs reliable cellular signal in remote or rugged environments. Whether you're trekking across the desert, navigating forest service roads, or working deep in oilfield country, this system helps you stay connected when it matters most.

At the heart of the system is weBoost’s most powerful multi-user vehicle booster, paired with a durable omni-directional outside antenna. The antenna is mounted using a specialized Overland Mount that offers flexible installation options and a secure, low-profile folding design. When you're parked or driving, the antenna stays upright to capture the best possible signal. When you head into town or store your vehicle in a garage, the antenna folds down easily to avoid clearance issues or damage.

The system is designed for use in all types of vehicles: SUVs, trucks, vans, trailers, and expedition rigs. It boosts voice, text, and data for multiple devices at the same time, across all major carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and UScellular. It supports both 4G LTE and 5G signals on the frequency bands approved by the FCC.

Whether you're a weekend adventurer, a full-time van dweller, or a crew leader working long shifts in rural zones, the Drive Reach Overland helps you avoid dead zones, reduce dropped calls, and get better data speeds almost anywhere your wheels can take you.

Coverage Area & Supported Carriers

Coverage Area

The strength of your existing outside signal, measured where you plan to mount the outside antenna, has a direct impact on the amount of inside coverage you'll get from a signal booster. The table below provides general estimates based on signal strength:

  • Strong (5 Bars): Coverage up to 6 feet from the inside antenna
  • Medium (3–4 Bars): A few feet from the inside antenna
  • Weak (1–2 Bars): About 18 inches from the inside antenna
  • None (0 Bars): No coverage

Please note: Many factors impact the size of the inside coverage area, so actual results may vary from these estimates.

Supported Carriers and Technologies

  • Supported Devices: All cell phones, hotspots, and other devices that use cellular data
  • Supported Networks: 4G LTE and 5G (on FCC-approved bands)
  • Frequencies Boosted: 700, 800, 1900, and 1700/2100 MHz
  • Carriers: Works with Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and UScellular. Also supports smaller carriers, prepaid providers, MVNOs, and any other carrier that operates on these frequency bands.

Please note: This booster may not work in most countries in Europe, Asia, or Africa, as cellular networks in those regions often use different frequency bands.

Installation Overview

Installation

The Drive Reach Overland is designed for DIY installation, but it also gives you the flexibility to adapt the system to your specific vehicle and setup. All components come in the box, and the included Overland Mount makes it easy to secure the outside antenna in multiple ways depending on your roof rack, ladder, or rail setup.

The outside antenna should always be installed above the vehicle’s roofline and gear for best performance. Once in place, the antenna connects to the booster unit inside the vehicle, which then feeds the inside antenna to broadcast improved signal to your devices.

Mounting Options for the Outside Antenna

  • T-track Mounting: Attaches directly to compatible roof racks using included hardware
  • Pole Mounting: Wraps around round roof rails or ladders with included clamps and rubber pads
  • Flat Surface Mounting: Screws directly into flat surfaces on roof platforms or custom panels
  • Folding Design: Antenna can pivot between vertical and horizontal positions for storage or travel
  • Stabilizer Arm: Helps secure the antenna when folded flat, especially during transit

Inside Setup

The inside antenna should be mounted on the dash or side of the seat, positioned 18 to 36 inches from where you typically use your phone. The booster can be installed under a seat, against a wall, or anywhere with good airflow. It connects to a 12V power supply using the included cigarette lighter adapter.

Installation Tips

  • Mount the outside antenna above all other gear for a clear signal path
  • Use the thread lock packets on antenna connections for long-term stability
  • Route the coax cable through a vehicle door; it’s designed to handle the pressure
  • Keep the inside and outside antennas well separated to avoid feedback
  • If your vehicle’s 12V port stays active when off, use the power switch to avoid draining the battery
